Jamshedpur, Jan 24: The Tata Workers Union election gears up as the final publication of constituencies is completed, paving the way for 11,300 eligible voters to cast their ballots. The election process has seen meticulous handling of 43 claims and objections, ensuring a transparent and fair electoral environment.

Under the supervision of election officer CH Srinivas Rao and the election committee members Nishant Prakash, Ajay Lakra, Shantanu Rai, Ravindra Singh, Deepak Kumar, and Prabhunath Singh, all objections were diligently addressed. Senior administrative incharge cum overall supervisor Dharambir Kumar Singh of the union, posted for the election committee, oversaw the finalization and posting of the constituencies.

Among the 43 objections, 18 were related to improving the number of voters, all of which were successfully processed by the Election Steering Committee. Nine objections concerning department and section transfers were raised, with five being resolved. The remaining four claims and objections, falling outside the union’s constitution, were dropped.

Four applications advocating no changes in the constituency were received and duly executed by the Election Steering Committee. Similarly, four applications for the correct interpretation of section names were processed accordingly. In a move to merge constituencies, objections were raised, resulting in serious consideration by the Election Steering Committee. Out of the five objections received, four were executed, while one was rejected as it fell outside the scope of the union constitution.

An application aimed at increasing the number of seats was rejected due to its non-compliance with the Union Constitution. Additionally, an objection regarding the wrong publication of a section name was rectified by the committee.

As the election program progresses, the list of approximately 11,300 voters was published on Tuesday, setting the stage for an anticipated and closely contested Tata Workers Union election in the upcoming days.
