Jamshedpur, October 30: Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Limited (TSUISL- formerly Jusco) has agreed to provide direct electricity to all the houses in Cable Town.
Presently TSUISL provides electricity to nine point vendors on lump sum basis and these vendors supply electricity to individual households due to which consumers have to pay expensive rates.
The decision to provide electricity to the houses in Cable Town through separate connections was taken today in a meeting organized at the office of the Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum on the initiative of Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Rai, in which Amit Kumar, head land management, Tata Steel, Amit Kumar, head of electricity division of TSUISL were present.
In the meeting, TSUISL stated that the bankrupt cable company’s R.P. (Resolution Professional) No objection has been sought for providing separate electricity to every house, which has not been received yet.
Saryu Rai said that no rule or provision of NCLT is an obstacle to the cable company in providing electricity to the houses. Therefore it is not necessary to seek no objection from R. P.

The Deputy Commissioner said that electricity has become an essential need of the society today, hence no rule can be a hindrance in providing individual electricity connections to the consumers’ homes.
He said that just as the residents of the cable company got water due to the intervention of the administration, TSUISL should also provide them electricity.
Head land management of Tata Steel and General Manager of TSUISL present in the meeting agreed that all the houses in Cable Town will be given individual electricity connections. Its formalities will be completed within 24 hours.
