Jamshedpur, October 30: The minimum wage rate implemented by the Jharkhand government has been implemented in Tata Steel.
Implementing this new rule, Tata Steel management has ordered all the vendors to pay salaries to the employees only as per the new rate applicable from October 1. Under the agreement signed on August 10, 1990 between Tata Steel and the Labor Department of the then Bihar Government, the contract employees working in Tata Steel will be given an additional amount of Rs 1.40 per week for working six days continuously in a week.
Along with this, orders have also been given to give variable DA.
As per the new rate unskilled-labourer, sweeper, chowkidar, cleaner, dafadar, peon, watchman, white washer- Salary Rs 331, VDA Rs 93.10, Total amount Rs 424.18
Semiskilled-, Pay Rs 460.44, VDA Rs 129.63, Full Pay Rs 590.07.
Highly Skilled- Rs 527.38, VDA Rs 148.54, total amount Rs 675.92.
