Massive efforts are underway to address the garbage disposal issue, with sewerage treatment identified as the primary challenge, according to the Tata Steel UISL MD.

In response to this challenge, the company is adopting a strategic approach, focusing on new reengineering methods. The plan involves segregating different types of garbage from households and transporting them to the plant for sorting. The sorted waste will then be utilized to create fertilizer, contributing to sustainable waste management. Furthermore, a compost plant is in the works.

The MD highlighted that sewerage treatment is a critical aspect of Jamshedpur’s growth. In response to this, new areas are being developed, and small sewerage treatment plants are being established. By ensuring effective sewerage treatment throughout the city, the issue of drains flowing into the river can be resolved, and necessary measures are being implemented to address this concern.
