Jamshedpur: The security team of Tata Steel successfully thwarted multiple theft attempts across different zones of the plant, apprehending four suspects in the process.
In the first incident around 4:30 am on Tuesday, two suspects—Vikram Pradhan (23) and Mohammad Bilal (17)—were caught near the CSD railway track area in Zone-3 during routine patrolling. About 38 kilograms of insulated copper cable was recovered from them.
In another incident at around 1 am in the LD-3 TSCR Store area, Vikas Ghosh (17) was detained under suspicious circumstances, although no stolen items were found in his possession.
Later, at around 10:00 PM, Mohammad Kashim (46) was apprehended in the restricted Zone-4 TSDPL Scrapyard area while engaging in suspicious activities.
All the accused have been handed over to the police for further action.
