Tata Steel dedicates deep bore-well facility to school

Jamshedpur : Access to drinking water is a perennial problem for students in schools located in rural areas of Jharkhand.

Students are constrained to live in water scarcity with no source of water nearby, and the situation worsens during the summer season.

To address the water crisis in schools located in rural areas, Tata Steel Rural Development Society has installed deep bore well facility at High School, Jwalkata in East Singhbhum district.

The installation of deep bore well facility will help more than 300 students as well as faculty and staff members of the school who will now have access to drinking water.

Biren Bhuta, Chief, Corporate Social Responsibility, Tata Steel, dedicated the deep bore well facility to the school yesterday. Shanti Devi, Zilla Paarshad, Ghurabandha Block along with Mukhiya, Ward Members, Teachers and other villagers also attended the programme.
