Jamshedpur, April 7: Tata Motors has enhanced water supply charges for company quarters allocated to employees working at its Jamshedpur plant. This hike, the first in approximately six years since 2018, has created concern among employees as they would encounter financial strains
A circular issued by the company outlined the revised water charges, effective from April 1. Notably, there has been a substantial rise in monthly water charges for employees of Grade L6 and above. For instance, the water charge for K-2, T, KL, and A-4 quarters, as well as N, K, and J flats, has surged from Rs 130 to Rs 200 per month. Similarly, costs for M and U type, L-4 quarters, and P flats have spiked from Rs 220 to Rs 338. The rates for various bungalows and flats have also witnessed significant increases, impacting employees’ monthly expenses.
