Ghatshila, April 7: A pickup van transporting vegetables from Baharagora to Maubhandar in Ghatshila overturned near Jairamdih on Dhalbhumgarh National Highway-18. The vehicle lost control due to a tire burst and overturned resulting in injuries to five vegetable vendors traveling in the van.
Prompt action from the Highway Patrol led to the immediate transfer of the injured to Ghatshila Sub-Divisional Hospital for medical attention. After preliminary medical attention, all five vendors were referred to MGM Hospital for further treatment.
Despite the recommendation for better treatment at MGM, the injured were taken privately to Baripada by their family members. Hailing from Mauda village in Baharagora, all the injured vegetable vendors were residents of the same locality.
