Take pledge to respect and protect our daughters: CM Raghubar Das

Jamshedpur: Everyone should respect and protect women. It is not sufficient to worship them just on the occasion of Navratra. This practice should be continued beyond festivals.


This was observed by Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Sunday on the occasion of inauguration of Durga Puja pandal in Tuiladungri, Golmuri.

The CM made an appeal to all individuals to follow the ancient Indian tradition of worshipping women.


He said the society will have to respect and safeguard women everywhere. He said he prayed to Goddess Durga for the progress, peace and prosperity of the people of Jharkhand and the entire nation.

The committee members gifted a shawl and a statue of Goddess Durga to the CM who went on to inaugurate several puja pandals in the city.


He visited Laxmi Nagar, Prem Nagar, Bajrangi Bagar, Jhagru Bagan, Telco, Vidyapati Nagar, Baridih, New Ranikuder, Kadma and Agrico. He also visited the puja pandals at Cross Road Number 26 near Cinema Maidan and New Sidhgora.

Other dignitaries accompanying the CM included district BJP president Dinesh Kumar, Rajesh Shukla, Khemlal Choudhary, Gurdev Singh Raja, Nandjee Prasad, Pawan Agrawal, Kulwant Singh Bunty, Rambabu Tiwary and Chandrashekhar Mishra.
