Jamshedpur City SP Leads Drug De-Addiction Awareness Drive at Vivekananda International School

Jamshedpur: In a joint effort to safeguard the youth from substance abuse, the district administration, Meraki Foundation, and Vivekananda International School organized a drug de-addiction awareness program. The initiative focused on steering high school students toward healthy, disciplined lifestyles and academic excellence.

Focus on Mental and Physical Discipline

City SP Lalit Meena, attending as the chief guest, urged teenagers to prioritize their career goals and academic growth over destructive habits. He provided an engaging explanation of how substance abuse can derail a student’s future. Notably, the SP also identified excessive mobile phone usage as a modern form of addiction that students must consciously manage.

Guest of Honor Chandan Kumar echoed these sentiments, assuring the student body that the police administration remains fully committed to ensuring their safety and overall well-being.

Collaborative Efforts for Social Welfare

School Principal Nidhi Srivastava opened the event by highlighting the institution’s commitment to holistic development. Rita Patra discussed the Meraki Foundation’s social welfare goals, emphasizing their ongoing partnership with local authorities to run effective anti-drug campaigns across the city.

The program saw participation from several dignitaries, including Civil Defence Deputy Chief Daya Kumar Mishra and social worker Mukhtar Alam Khan, who coordinated the event.
