Super 30 founder plans to open school in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, June 16 : After setting new milestones Super 30 founder,Anand Kumar, who helps underprivileged students crack the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for entrance into IITs, has now decided to set up a school in Jamshedpur. The best part of the school will be that the school will start grooming students for cracking IIT from class six itself.

Patna-based Mathematician, who has so far in 15 years helped 396 out of the 450 students from economically weaker section successfully crack IIT entrance examinations talking to media at Nirmal Guest House shared his vision for the State.

�I have a special connection to the city as my maternal parents reside here. I look forward to visiting the city every year.

Moreover, out of the 30 students who succeed every year in the Super-30 there are always 2-3 students from Jharkhand and I have a desire to open a school in Jamshedpu.

If Government provides me land (around 20 acres), I can arrange funds from my own for the project. But acquiring land is a problem and I would like government help in this,� said Anand Kumar.

�I would like to request the government through the media and also through the East Singhbhum district education officer R. K. P Singh, also present along with Anand Kumar for my dream project. The school would focus on mathematics and science subjects from base level,� said Anand Kumar.

From this year onward the Super 30 will also be starting online coaching from October-November. Through online coaching the idea is to provide guidance to aspiring engineers spread across the country.

Kumar further added that Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) is lending its support online initiative.
Kumar informed that along with Super 30 they are also starting a separate programme called �Super 100� in which students who have passed class 10 are eligible to participate.

� We are inviting students to appear for test for qualifying into Super 30 in Jamshedpur. There will be test in two levels at Sakchi High School in Sakchi on June 24. For basic level the eligibility criteria would be matriculation pass while advanced level the criteria would be class 12th pass.,� said Anand.

The intake capacity for basic level would be 100 while it would be 30 for advanced level. After selection they would be entitled for free studies, accommodation and lodging facilities at Patna.

He also informed a biopic will be shot later this year with Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan playing his character. The film would be directed by VikashBahl.
