Jamshedpur: A training program for Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and BLO Supervisors was organized at Sidhgora Town Hall as part of the special intensive revision of the electoral roll, in accordance with directives from the Cabinet (Election) Department, Jharkhand, Ranchi.
The session was led by Priyanka Singh, Deputy Election Officer, East Singhbhum (Jamshedpur), and included all BLOs, BLO Supervisors, and Additional Assistant Electoral Registration Officers from the urban areas. The training focused on four assembly constituencies: 46-Potka (ST), 47-Jugsalai (SC), 48-Jamshedpur East, and 49-Jamshedpur West.
Participants were provided detailed guidance on the procedures and technical aspects of the special intensive revision, covering topics such as notional house numbers, stickers, ASDD (Absent, Shifted, Dead, Duplicate) entries, logical discrepancies, and mapping using SIR 2003. The program aimed to ensure thorough preparedness among election personnel for accurate and efficient updating of the electoral roll.
