Jamshedpur, October 19:Sonari Nirmal Basti residents on Wednesday protested against the demolition of a school by local police built for the dalit children, at DC office.
Basti residents had also protested against the move before Sonari Police Station on Tuesday where the police officers had said that the school was not demolished by the police administration. On Wednesday JD(U) workers along with the busti residents headed by state president Dr. Pawan Pandey staged protest and submitted a memorandum to DC.
According to Dr. Pawan Pandey, if police administration is not involved behind the incident then who are those in police uniform who created the nuisance and demolished the school and are involved in keeping the dalit students away from education and school.
�BJP led Jharkhand government talks of dalit oppression and development of education system in the state. This kind of behavior with the dalit children that to in the hometown of chief minister Raghubar Das raises a big question�, added Dr. Pandey.
Present at the event were Anil Kumar, Jitendra Dubey, Pappu Singh, Arup Ghosh, Md. Danish, Md. Rafiq, Rajiv Ojha, Vikas Singh, Jitendra Mishra, Dinesh Kalindi, Raju Kalidindi, Ganesh Kalindi and others.
