Jamshedpur: Gram Sabha meetings were held in a total of 327 revenue villages of East Singhbhum on the first day here on Wednesday. Gram Sabhas are to be organized in every revenue village of all blocks in the district from 19th October to 31st October.
The meetings were held in 12 villages of Bodam, 15 villages of Patamada, 29 villages of Jamshedpur, 54 villages of Potka, 33 villages of Ghatsila, 19 villages of Musabani, 15 villages of Dumaria, 17 villages of Gudabandha, 18 villages of Dhalbhumgarh, 45 villages of Chakulia and 70 villages of Baharagora.
Panchayat representatives, public representatives and senior administration officials from across the district participated in the gram sabhas.
The Deputy Development Commissioner Vinod Kumar visited Dumaria while the director of NREP Ranjana Mishra visited Dhalbhumgarh. DRDA director Uma Mahato visited Jamshedpur while district supply officer DK Tiwary visited Patamada to participated in the gram sabhas, sources said.
