Jamshedpur, Feb 23: The Geeta Theatre unit on Friday, performed a street corner play (Nukkad Natak) at the Mango Municipal Corporation premises. The play, scripted by Geeta Kumari and directed by Prem Dixit was entitled ‘Swachhata Haye Zaroori’ and contained the message on solid waste management by reducing household waste generation and promoting recycling. The play promoted the need for maintaining cleanliness in and around homes and localities. It also depicted the deteriorating balance between nature and human health. The event was organized by Cube Adityapur Waste management Pvt Ltd. Playwright Geeta Kumari led an oath-taking ceremony at the end of the program, where all present including Municipal Corporation officials pledged to actively participate in maintaining cleanliness, beauty, and health in the city.
The actors comprised Tushar Karan, Abhiranjan Kumar, and Anant Sardar as the narrator (Nat).
