Seraikela: The “State-Level Chaitra Parva cum Chhau Mahotsav-2026” concluded late on Monday, weaving together the three distinct styles of Chhau—Seraikela, Kharsawan, and Manbhum—alongside diverse folk arts from across the country. The final night culminated in a traditional overnight vigil (ratri jagran).
The third day’s festivities began with the traditional Manch Pujan (stage worship), followed by the formal lighting of the lamp. Musicians from the Government Chhau Dance Centre, Seraikela, opened the cultural session with a soulful musical invocation titled Yatra Ghat Mangalacharan.

Highlights of the Performance Rounds
Following the felicitation of the participating artists, a series of captivating Chhau performances took place:
- Government Chhau Centre: Artists from the Government Chhau Dance Centre, Seraikela, delivered the opening performance.
- Shree Kedar Art Centre: Director Malay Kumar Sahu and his team showcased the graceful movements of the Seraikela style.
- Competition Winners: The top three troupes from the Seraikela Chhau Rural Dance Competition performed their winning routines.
- K.K. Karua Troupe: Under the leadership of Kush Kumar Karua, the troupe mesmerized the audience with a vibrant display.

Cultural Tradition and Dignitaries
In accordance with long-standing traditions, the festival concluded with an overnight cultural vigil featuring continued performances by the Government Chhau Centre artists.
The event was attended by several high-ranking officials, including Additional Deputy Commissioner Jaivardhan Kumar, Seraikela Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) Abhinav Prakash, and Seraikela Nagar Panchayat President Manoj Kumar Chaudhary.
