Jamshedpur: D.B.M.S. College of Education hosted a special program titled “Dignity of Labour” on May 1, 2026, to celebrate International Labour Day. The event, held in the college’s multipurpose hall, honoured the institution’s support staff, including caretakers and assisting personnel, for their vital contributions to the college.
Cultural Highlights and Appreciation
The celebration featured a variety of performances and activities led by the students to entertain and appreciate the staff:
- Literary and Media Presentations: Sonam Kumari, Rashmi Kumari, and Anjali Kumari performed poetry recitations, complemented by a documentary presentation.
- Performances: The event included group dance performances and a ramp walk.
- Interactive Sessions: Students organized engaging games to encourage participation from the support staff.
The college management and students presented gifts as tokens of appreciation to several staff members.
Management and Leadership Address
The program was conducted under the guidance of Principal Dr. Joohi Samarpita and Vice Principal Dr. Monica Uppal.
- S. Dharmarajan (Treasurer) and Priya Dharmarajan honored all staff members for their dedicated service.
- Dr. B. Chandrasekhar (Chairman) addressed the staff, assuring them that the management stands with them in both their joys and challenges. He also lauded the students for promoting essential social values through their talents.
