Chaibasa, August 17: The SR Rungta Group of Chaibasa on Wednesday presented national archery para-champion Tulsi Karua with an electric tricycle and the latest version of compound at the Turtung Archery Training Centre in Sikursai. Senior General Manager of SR Rungta Group SK Pathak and CSR’s Kishan Thakur handed the keys of the electric tricycle and the compound bow to Tulsi.
SK Pathak remarked on the occasion, “Kumari Tulsi Karua is disciplined, assiduous and hard working and is a para national champion archer. She has to cover a good distance for going to the training centre. Our company felt that a gift of an electric tricycle would ease her commuting problem. Tulsi is aiming for international recognition and attending coaching at the training centre is essential for her to make her mark at the international arena for para archery. To give additional fillip to her ambition, the SR Rungta Group has presented her with the latest and most developed compound bow.”
Chairman of the Turtung Archery Training Centre, Narendra Kumar Padeya, while thanking the SR Rungta Group for the gifts to Tulsi Karua, said, “The gifts will further physically challenged Tulsi’s ambition of bettering her own national record and set her eyes on international recognition.”
Others present on the occasion included the Turtung Archery Training Centre Vice Chairman Sushil Kumar Sinku, Advisor Tej Narayan Devgam, Treasurer Shailendra Sawaiyan, Kasturba Gandhi Residential School of Tantnagar representatives Sabita, Rupanti and Jasmati, Kalicharan Hembram, Trainers Sumit Sinku and Ramesh along with many others.
