South Eastern Railway registers 24.72% growth in originating freight loading

Jamshedpur, July 6:  South Eastern Railway has loaded 48.94 Million Tonnes of originating freight in the first three months i.e. April to June of the current financial year (2022-23). During this period, SER has loaded 12.06 Million Tonnes of Coal, which is 24.72% more than the corresponding period of previous fiscal. There has also been an increase of 3.60% in originating freight revenue in comparison to the first three months of the last fiscal. During April to June of current financial year, the revenue generation from originating freight loading has been Rs 4190.27 crore as against Rs.4044.53 crore in same period of the previous year.The main commodities of Freight loading during the first three months of 2022-23 were Iron ore, Coal, Pig Iron & Finished Steel, Cement, Fertilizer, Petroleum Products etc.
