Jamshedpur: Solar system is being installed in the panchayat building of Bhatin panchayat in Potka block.
The mukhiya Khelaram Murmu said electricity supply was yet to be provided to more than 34 panchayats of Potka. As a result of the continuing inconvenience, the villagers had demanded installation of solar systems in the villages by the state government.
The government has approved a fund of Rs 1.50 lakh to install solar system in the panchayat buildings. The work will start within a month, sources said.
With the new facility, round-the-clock power supply will be possible and computerization of the panchayat will become possible.
