Jamshedpur, April 23: BJP spokesperson cum former Home Secretary of Jharkhand JB Tubid today said there was an urgent need to open skill development centres by keeping Swadeshi at the focal point of all such endeavours.
He said such initiatives would greatly promote Swadeshi products and that there would be no dearth of skilled labourers for manufacturing them.
He was speaking as the chief guest on the occasion of the district conference of Swadeshi Jagran Manch held at Chamber Bhavan, Bistupur. He said the skill development programmes being run by the Central government would be greatly helpful in creating a skilled workforce and creating awareness among the people regarding Swadeshi and Swadeshi products.
Tubid said the Swadeshi movement was a fight for idealism. He said there was a need to take the movement further through introspection and wider discussions across the country. He said the public urge to adopt Swadeshi and boycott foreign goods had now become a movement. He said it was good to know that the thoughts of Swadeshi were still alive. He said now adopting Swadeshi was no more a need but a compulsion in the modern times.
The BJP spokesperson said the major hurdle in the way of promoting Swadeshi in India was being created by China which was trying different ways to take over the economic power of India. The Indians should stress on using the ancient wisdom and knowledge taught by our forefathers and make it a habit. There is need to think about alternatives of various foreign goods being used in our households, he said.
Many other dignitaries were present during the programme. They included the chairperson of the Jharkhand State Womens Commission Kalyani Sharan, Ajay Patki of Akhil Bharatiya Vichar Vibhag, Purvanchal Vahini Pramukh Bande Shankar Singh, RSS head Abhay Samant, Manoj Kumar Singh, Amit Mishra and JKM Raju.
