Chaibasa, April 24: Chaibasa wing of congress commemorated the anniversary of freedom fighter and patriot Veer Kunwar Singh at congress Bhavan on Sunday.
On the occasion district congress president Sunny Sinku said that the wise leadership devotion to the nation and indomitable courage of Veer Kunwar Singh is always a source of inspiration.
He took on British in 1857 at the age of 80 years and sacrificed his life for the nation. Present on the occasion were Trishanu Roy, Ansar Ahmed, Sunita Sharma, Mahavir Biruli and others.
