Six year-old raped in Jamshedpur, accused at large

Jamshedpur, March 12: A case of rape of a six year old girl came to light in Mango police station area. The alleged incident was reported 15 days after the crime. The family members of the victim first did not tell anyone about the incident. But later, they complained against the accused, identified as Mohammad Zeeshan. The alleged victim was taken to MGM Hospital for medical examination. Cops said the accused had fled his house after coming to know about the FIR against him.

Sources said the accused had gone to the victim’s house on 26th February last and took her along to his house. Later, he locked the door and raped the minor. When the girl started crying, he also allegedly beat her up. After committing the crime, he decamped from the scene. When the girl’s family members learnt about the incident, they went to Zeeshan’s house and confronted him. But the accused refused the allegations.
