Jamshedpur, Aug 29: Jadugora police arrested six members of a gang of thieves and recovered several stolen items from their possession here on Monday.
Those arrested were identified as Manu Murmu, Patar Bodra, Dhiren Bodra, Dharmendra Prasad, Gurucharan Sundi and Manki Jarika, all residents of Jadugora, said Inspector Indradev Ram addressing a press conference today.
Police recovered three solar plates, two batteries, one inverter, a goods auto-rickshaw and a bike.
The accused persons were produced before the Magistrate’s court in Ghatsila and sent to Ghatsila jail. They had allegedly stolen goods worth several lakh from South Ichda panchayat building, situated just 100 metres away from Jadugora police station on 22nd August last, said the Inspector.
The Inspector said police solved the case on the basis of inputs from various local sources and a thorough investigation into the theft.
