Jamshedpur, Oct 29: A delegation led by Vijay Anand Moonka, president of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry, met Minister Mithilesh Kumar Thakur, in-charge of East Singhbhum district and held detailed discussions on various topics at Jamshedpur Circuit House.
The delegation demanded supply of DVC power to the industries in all the three districts of Kolhan so that the entrepreneur can compete with the entrepreneurs of other areas of the state. The rate of DVC per unit is about 40 percent less than JVVNL. The entrepreneurs of Kolhan are facing issues. The president expressed concerns that many industries have migrated, others have closed down, due to expensive electricity rates.
Discussions were also held with the Minister to promote tourism in the district. A request was made to restore the facilities of boating, guest houses, restaurants, etc. in Burudih Dam located at Ghatshila. Simultaneously the delegation suggested starting ropeway service from Dimna to Dalma.
The Minister, after listening carefully to the words of the Chamber, assured to take necessary action. The delegation included vice president Mahesh Sonthalia, Mukesh Mittal, secretary Anil Modi, Bharat Makani, Working Committee member Anand Modi, Saurabh Sanghi.
