Jamshedpur Pays Tribute to Social Worker Jogi Mishra

Jamshedpur: The Jugsalai Nagar Parishad Rent Payers Committee held a condolence meeting at Gaushala Chowk to honor senior social worker Jogi Mishra, whom locals fondly called “Guruji.” Committee President Sardar Shailendra Singh chaired the gathering.

Prominent figures, including former MP Pradeep Balmuchu and Mango Municipal Corporation Mayor Sudha Gupta, offered floral tributes alongside local residents, political leaders, and social workers. To honour Mishra’s lifelong public service, the dignitaries presented a “Letter of Appreciation” to his wife, Meera, and his children.

Speaking on the occasion, various speakers praised the dedication and service of Jogi Mishra toward the welfare of the local community. A proposal was also placed before the gathering to officially name the “Nagar Parishad Park,” which Jogi Mishra had helped construct, as “Nagar Parishad Jogi Mishra Park.” The proposal received unanimous support from hundreds of people present at the meeting.

Mango Mayor Sudha Gupta stated that she would extend her full support at every level to ensure the park is officially named after Jogi Mishra. She said his contribution to society and civic development deserved permanent recognition.
