Jamshedpur: Shri Shyam Bhatli Pariwar Charitable Trust (SSBPCT) Jamshedpur today organized the 80th monthly Kirtan Mahotsav at the Sangam Vihar Durga Puja Mandap in Sonari with a throng of devotees attending the pious occasion.
The proceedings opened with Ganesh Vandana and the program of devotional songs continued late into the night. Popular devotional singer from Bijnour Akanchha Mittal and local singers Anis Gadodia, Bunty Changil and Niraj Jalan had the devotees swaying in reverence to their songs to Shri Shyam.
Prior to the commencement of bhajans, Baba Shyam�s worship commenced at 8 pm. The hosts, Nilam and Shiv Kumar Chowdhary had the holy rituals performed by a priest who also tied the sacred threads on the wrists of devotees. The chief attractions were the decoration for Shyam Bhatli Wale Baba�s Mandir, the 56 items of food and sweet (Chhappan Bhog) offerings and the Deity�s Kitchen food (Prasad). The prasad was distributed among the devotees after the arti.
Among those who helped organize the Mahotsav were SSBPCT president Rajesh Pasari, Asish Chowdhary, Gagan Rustogi, Priti Chowdhary, Mamata Goyal, Ekta Chowdhary, Payal Rustogi, Kavita Dhut, Vinita Naredi, Mahesh Chowdhary, Debasish Chowdhury, Uttam Naredi, Nitish Dhut, Satbir Virdi, Ayush Pasari, Vijay Agrawal and Durga Chowdhary.
