Jamshedpur, November 14: Tata Steel organised an Interdivisional Basketball Tournament for men and women at the JRD Tata Sports Complex, Jamshedpur today. The event saw enthusiastic participation from various divisions of Tata Steel, with a total of 240 participants, including 156 men and 84 women, competing in the tournament.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Daya Shankar Chaudhary, Head, Mechanical Maintenance, Eye Blast Furnace, Tata Steel, who emphasised the importance of sports and wellness in today’s modern lifestyle during his address. “Sports play a vital role in maintaining physical and mental well-being. I urge everyone to actively participate in upcoming sports events across the company,” he said, congratulating all the winners.
In the men’s category, the winners were:
– Third Position: OMQ Division
– Second Position: West Bokaro Division
– First Position: Shared Services
In the women’s category, the winners were:
– Third Position: TSJ Operations
– Second Position: General Office
– First Position: Shared Services
