Jamshedpur, August 5: The eighth Jhulan Utsav of Shri Shakambhari Mata was celebrated with religious fervor on Friday at the Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) building. The prayer rituals associated with Shakambhari Puja commenced at 3 pm. The host couples included Asha-Dilip Sonthalia, Manju-Shambhu Agarwal and Lakshmi-Sudarshan Choudhary who performed prayers under the guidance of priest Basant Pandit. Popular Bhajan singer, Manoj Sharma Monu held sway over Sri Shakambhari Mata devotees who danced in devotional ecstasy. The prime centres of attraction included Shakambhari Mata’s Swing (Jhoola), the decorated court of the deity, Bhajan and offering of Chhappan Bhog and the distribution of Prasad among devotees. Anju Singhania presented a homemade cake for the Mother’s consecration. Nisha Sonthalia used roli, moli, bangles, henna, bindi, lipstick and nail polish to make an attractive garland for the Mother.
The program of Bhajans that commenced at 4 pm. The Maha Aarti was performed at 10 pm after which Prasad was distributed. The Shakambhari Mata Parivar team of organizers included President Neetu Harnathka, Vice-President Sabita Sonthalia, Secretary Manisha Kauntia and executive committee chief Sarita Sonthalia.
Telco resident Shilpi Agarwal (Shilpi Palsania), a member of Shakambhari Mata Parivar, was honored for her success in Haute Monde Mrs India Worldwide – 2022 competition where she claimed awards in the categories of Mrs India Best Smile and Mrs India Best Transformation.
