Jamshedpur, Feb 9: Shahi Snan ceremony is going to be organized at Sonari Domuhani on the occasion of Maha Shivratri on 18th February. Thousands of people will be taking the holy dip in the river on this occasion. This initiative has been reportedly taken by the state Health Minister Banna Gupta who has planned elaborate beautification and development of the riverbank.
Sonari Domuhani is being turned into a tourism centre. Recently Swarnarekha Aarati programme was organized here on Makar Sankranti on the lines of Ganga Aarati of Varanasi and Haridwar. During Maha Shivratri, a large number of Sadhus and saints are expected to gather on the banks of Swarnarekha.
Gupta is learnt to have approved Rs 50 lakh for the beautification of Sonari Domuhani. Various public facilities would be available here for visitors.
