Seraikela: Man accused of killing Railway employee sent to jail

Seraikela, May 31: Police sent Raja Kumar Pradhan, accused of killing Railway employee Uttam Pradhan following a land dispute in Seraikela to jail here on Tuesday.

Manohar Kumar, officer in-charge of Seraikela police station, said the accused had slit open the throat of Uttam Pradhan with a sharp weapon. During interrogation, the accused confessed his guilt and told police how he committed the brutal crime.

Police have recovered the axe used in the murder. They said the 45 year-old Uttam was sleeping in his house when the accused suddenly barged into his house and attacked him multiple times. Local residents caught the accused and locked him in a room. Later police arrested the accused.
