Seraikela, Jan 9: Covid-19 cases are on the rise in Seraikela-Kharsawan district. 31 new cases have been reported in the district on Sunday, January 9. Total of 1064 samples were tested during the day through TrueNat and RT-PCR.
Active cases in the district have gone up to 242. Deputy Commissioner Arava Rajkamal informed that of the new cases on Sunday, 5 are from Sadar Hospital Seraikela Test Center, 6 from Chandil block and 20 from Gamharia block.
DC further said that for better treatment the infected patients have been admitted to local hospital and kept under the supervision of doctors.
DC appealed to follow COVID-19 guidelines and cooperate with district administration in preventing the spread of infection.
He urged the citizens to stay home, maintain social distance, use mask regularly. Also, ensure that all members of the house are fully vaccinated.
