Seraikela DC direct for integrated check-points, drone for vigil against illegal mining 

Seraikela, February 21:  A meeting of the district mining task force was held under the joint chairmanship of Seraikela Kharsawan deputy commissioner Arva Rajkamal and Superintendent of Police Anand Prakash at the District Collectorate. 
Taking information about all the sand ghats and operated ghats, the Deputy Commissioner directed to take necessary action on vehicles carrying sand or stones without challan after conducting surprise inspections under the campaign against illegal sand miners.
In the meeting, district mining officer Sunny Kumar informed about the action taken against illegal mining and the inspection being done. He said that this month action has been taken against all the eight vehicles. In which a fine of Rs 290000 has been recovered from six vehicles. An FIR has been registered in the same case. The Deputy Commissioner directed to start the closed sand stockyard for the purpose of stopping illegal mining and inspecting the stockyard and taking stock of the quantity of stock, pick up and CCTV cameras along with other papers.
He directed to get information about the sandstone being used in the construction of other big structures including real estate, NH construction and to run campaign in the roads connecting to the district or the state. Taking seriously the information received about illegal sand lifting in Sapda, he directed to take necessary action after conducting surprise inspections. 
The Deputy Commissioner said that an integrated check post should be set up to check illegal mining in Sapra Gamharia Adityapur area. Where the police force and forest department personnel and forces would be present along with the magistrate.
He directed that the sand and stone lifting areas and main roads should be continuously monitored through available resources and technology like drones. The Deputy Commissioner directed to jointly take action on the information received about illegal mining in Murkum Panchayat of Seraikela, Titirbilla and Mirgichingda of Rajnagar Seraikela.

Superintendent of Police Anand Prakash, while discussing the complaints received in detail, directed all the concerned departmental officers and officers to jointly campaign and ensure action against illegal mining. He said that swift action should be taken on the information of illegal lifting of sand or stones through various means.
