Seraikela: A delegation of children from Seraikela-Kharsawan here on Wednesday left for Ranchi to participate in a talent search competition being organized by the Tourism, Art, Culture, Sports and Youth Affairs Department of the state government. The selection process will take place tomorrow.
Sources said the department was running the campaign all over the state with the view to select sporting talents for the Olympics.
Those selected in the competition will be prepared by the department for the Olympics.
The delegation was seen off by the deputy development commissioner (DDC) of Seraikela-Kharsawan Akansha Ranjan and sub divisional officer (SDO) Bal Kishun Mahato. The district administration had arranged for a bus to send the children to Ranchi.
