Jamshedpur: The state Advisory Board held a meeting during which Minister for Girl Child Development and Social Security Dr Louis Marandi heard Board Member Arun Kumar Singh from Jamshedpur, a critical analysis of the hardships being faced by the challenged community. Among the instructions, the Minister directed that proper funds be allocated district wise, opening of schools for the mentally challenged at Jamshedpur and Dumka, financial encouragement be given to challenged peoples marriage in line with MP, formation of a society on International Physically Challenged Day on the directives of the Chief Minister, recruitment of teachers as per guidelines in four schools and appointment of special teachers as per norms for schools for blind, deaf and dumb students.
Among others present in the meeting were Social Security Department secretary Amitabh Kaushal, State Commissioner for physically challenged persons Satish Chandra along with other officials.
