Scholarships for 15 DBMS students for Plus 2 studies

Jamshedpur, June 16 : DBMS English School honored the meritorious students who put up a brilliant performance in the ICSE, ISC exam 2016, at the school auditorium on Tuesday, June 14.

Ninety-one students of ISC (Class 12) batch including 54 students of science stream and 37 students of commerce stream were felicitated for securing single point which was based on English plus best three subjects.

A total of 14 students of ISC batch, who scored 95% and above, were awarded with silver medallions, merit certificates, congratulatory cards, and standard files to keep their important documents.

Thirty-five students of ISC batch science stream and 26 students of ISC batch commerce stream were given cash award of Rs. 500 each, congratulatory card and a standard file. Remaining 16 students of ISC batch were awarded with congratulatory card along with a standard file.

In ICSE, Piyush Agarwal – who scored 98.4% and became the School, City, District and 2nd State Topper was awarded with Gold Medallion and has been granted scholarship for his further education in the school.

Another student of ICSE, Aayush Agarwal who scored 98.2% and became the 2nd topper in school and 3rd state topper was honored with silver medallion and was also granted scholarship for his further studies in Std. XI and XII.

Fifteen more students of ICSE Batch were honored with Silver Coin and were granted scholarship for their further studies in Std. XI & XII in their school.

Out of 63 students, apart from the above the single pointers who scored up to 9 points including all subjects, were honored in the assembly with a letter of appreciation for their excellent performance and have also were presented silver coin individually.

Significantly, highest percentage in ISC from the school was 97.25%, while 62.25% was the lowest. In ICSE, 98.40% was the highest and 64.2% was the lowest in the exam held in March 2016.

At the event members of the management including Lalitha Chandrashekhar, Jt. Chairperson; B. Chandrashekhar, joint chairperson ; Lakshmi Varadharajan, secretary ; Padma Sive, treasurer; Rajani Shekhar principal, P. K. Sahu, vice-principal and coordinators honored the students. All senior teachers and students of Std. IX to XII attended the program.
