Jamshedpur, Feb 23: In a letter to the Deputy Commissioner, East Singhbhum, SCCI Vice President (Public Relations and Welfare), Mukesh Mittal complained against officials of the District Collectorate and RTI activists who were hand in glove against city traders and alleged that actions were being taken on false complaints and allegations. Elaborating, the complaint letter alleged that RTI activists were filing baseless and false complaints against businessmen and traders and the Collectorate officials were taking action against such complaints that tantamounted to blackmailing.
Mukesh Mittal in the SCCI letter of complaint to the DC pointed out that such activities were malicious and ultimately tarnished the image of the district administration and the government and had negative impact on revenue earnings. The SCCI VP (PR & Welfare), Mukesh Mittal stated that the letter was written in public, business and revenue interests. Mukesh Mittal stated that the activities of the district administration officials concerned and the so-called RTI activists were unwarranted and intolerable for the business community and citizens in general. “Due to such activities with threat as their purpose, traders will not be able to run their business properly in the atmosphere of fear and the government will also suffer loss of revenue. Government machinery works for the purpose of serving and protecting the public and not what the administrative officials are doing in partnership with RTI activists to threaten and blackmail business folks of the city.” He demanded immediate action against the ‘unholy alliance’ of Collectorate officials and RTI activists who were hell bent on blackmailing the business community,” Mittal stated.
