Jamshedpur, April 21: State food and civil supplies minister Saryu Rai on Thursday met Union road and transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and asked him to speed up the NH-33 construction work.

He also urged the Union minister to direct his department to undertake immediate construction of sewer on both sides of the road passing from Mango.

The Union minister had also called in chief engineer of Bihar and Jharkhand and informed about the rain water-logging on NH-33 passing from Mango due to absence of sewer on both the sides of the road and the situation during the monsoon where water gets clogged up to knee level.

Rai informed that a big sewer should be constructed on both the sides of the road so that rain water coming from Dalma Hills can run off to Pardih sewer in one side and Dimna sewer on the other side where people from both the sides can live freely.

Gadkari said that the instructions for the same have been given earlier. Project director of Bihar-Jharkhand has been given directions from the ministry to do survey for construction of sewer on the both the sides of the road.
