Saryu Roy seeks Central probe into minor�s rape case

Jamshedpur: State food minister Saryu Roy on Tuesday said the Sahara City rape incident should be probed, if needed, by a Central investigation agency, to ensure the victim gets justice.

Speaking to media-persons on a visit to Jamshedpur West constituency, the minister said, �I have spoken to the investigating officers and talked about the progress made in the probe so far. After exposure of names of many white-collar people in the investigation, political pressure is mounting on the police officials. This is why I demand a Central probe in case the possibility of a fair probe gets diminished,� he said.
