Saryu inspects Chhath Ghats in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Nov 8: MLA Saryu Roy inspected various Chhath Ghats located under Jamshedpur East.

He inspected  Pandey Ghat, Kalyan Nagar Ghat, Jharna Ghat, Bhuyandih Lal Bhatta Ghat, Situ Talab etc. In the inspection, keeping the priority of cleanliness, cleanliness and safety of the ghats, the MLA instructed the special officer of JNAC to make available various facilities like adequate lighting at the ghats, to fix the commuting route.

In this sequence, Roy also inspected the pond at Telco. He went there and saw that the water level in the pond has become very high. Officials of JNAC were also present on the occasion. The water of the pond was found to be clean and there was no foul smell in it. In such a situation, local people can perform Chhath Puja there. He directed the ISWP company management to spray bleaching powder and provide necessary facilities. He said that the company management has done many development works and beautification of the pond at his behest. A small park has also been constructed, work is being done to make it more beautiful.
The MLA said that arrangements should be made to treat water by installing a mini treatment plant before the water that falls into the river through various drains.
