Saryu for compliance of timelines from Tata Steel UISL on civic project

Jamshedpur, July 1: Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Rai has asked the special officer of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC) to ensure that timeline  from which Tata Steel UISL will start work on civic projects are complied with.

In a letter to the JNAC special officer Krishna Kumar the MLA has said that the date from which work on the proposed drainage plan in the Brahmin Tola of Bhuiyadih to Babudih Itta Bhatta and the work of laying the drinking water supply structure in the area and  providing alternate drinking water supply are complied with.

The letter also asks for alternative water supply system in these areas till the proposed water supply system is operational.

Rai has further written that the administration should seek a detailed explanation from Tata Steel and Tata Steel UISL in terms of providing public facilities to the citizens of Jamshedpur in the 37 years since the Tata Lease agreement in 1985 and the 17 years since the renewal of the agreement in 2005 and in future, the administration should ask them for a practical timeline for providing public facilities to the remaining houses of Jamshedpur.

Rai also informed that he had earlier held talks with chief secretary and submitted memorandums to Governor and chief minister over the issue.
