Jamshedpur, Jan 23: On the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami, a grand Saraswati Puja was organised at the premises of the Jamshedpur District Court on Thursday. The worship of Goddess Saraswati was conducted with devotion and traditional rituals, marking the importance of knowledge and wisdom among the legal fraternity.
A devotional bhajan sandhya was also held, creating a spiritual atmosphere in the court premises. After the completion of the puja, Mahabhog (prasad) was distributed among all present.
On the same day, advocates and judicial officers jointly paid floral tribute to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose on his 129th birth anniversary by offering flowers to his portrait. The homage reflected deep respect for Netaji’s contribution to the freedom movement.
The programme was attended by Principal District and Sessions Judge Arvind Pandey, Principal Judge of the Family Court Ajit Kumar Singh, Additional Family Court Judge Dheeraj Kumar, Chief Judicial Magistrate Vishal Gaurav, along with other judicial officers. Vice Chairman of the State Bar Council Rajesh Kumar Shukla, senior advocate Lala Ajit Kumar Ambasht, District Bar Association President Ratindra Nath Das, Vice President Balai Panda, General Secretary Kumar Rajesh Ranjan, office bearers, executive members and a large number of advocates were also present.
All advocates participated in the worship, paid homage to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and shared the Mahaprasad, making the event solemn and memorable.
