Sanitary pad vending machines installed in schools

Jamshedpur: Sanitary pad vending machines were installed at St. Robert School, Parsudih, and Vidya Sagar Vidyalaya, Bamangora, on Thursday under the aegis of Sreeleathers and 93.5 Red FM. The chief guest of the occasion was Zila Parishad vice president Rajkumar Singh and Zila Parishad member Rakhi Guha.
Radio Jockey Smita informed school kids about sanitary pads, their uses and benefits. She also spoke on the significance of maintaining personal hygiene. She said Sreeleathers and Red FM were planning to install sanitary pad vending machines in schools and colleges across East Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan. She said awareness is being spread among girls on menstrual hygiene. Many people were present during the event.
