Jamshedpur: Sakchi High School (SHS), popularly known as Aambagan School, marked its 76th year with a grand “Milan Utsav” organized by its Alumni Association in the school premises. The program was inaugurated by School Committee Chairman Vikas Mukherjee, along with distinguished alumni including Swami Kripatmananda Maharaj of Ramakrishna Mission Belur Math, Tapasi Bose, Shipra Bhattacharya, and Arvind Mitra, who lit the ceremonial lamp.
The event honored both alumni and teachers, celebrating their contributions and achievements. During the first session, alumni reminisced about their school days, shared memories, and showcased musical performances. The second session featured enchanting musical renditions by Kolkata-based singers Madhumita Dutta and Shivendu Mohapatra, adding a special touch to the celebrations.
The event attracted alumni not only from Jamshedpur but also from across the country and abroad. Attendees included successful professionals, social workers, and cultural figures, who rekindled old memories and expressed their enduring bond with the school.
Debashish Naha of the Alumni Association emphasized that the Milan Utsav aimed to strengthen friendships and inspire efforts to improve opportunities and facilities for current students. He announced plans for even larger-scale celebrations in the future.
The program’s success was credited to the efforts of Subhodeep Mandal, Jayanto Dutta, Soumya Sen, Subroto Biswas, Pranab Sarkar, Neeta Bose, Sanjukta Sarkar, Swagato Chakraborty, Shobhan Mukherjee, Tapasi Bose, Sangeeta Sarkar, Biswadeep Mandal, Bijan Sarkar, Shilpa Hazra, Manas Shee, and others. The milestone event was a proud moment for both present and former students of Sakchi High School.
