Jamshedpur: Sainya Matri Shakti Jamshedpur, a unit of the All India Ex-Servicemen Service Council, celebrated International Women’s Day with great enthusiasm at the New Baridih auditorium. The event saw a large participation of women, especially wives of ex-servicemen, who gathered under the banner of Matri Shakti to mark the occasion.
The program commenced with floral tributes to Bharat Mata and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the chief guests and members of Military Matri Shakti. Ruby Singh, President of the Matri Shakti Organization, conducted the program and highlighted its objectives, emphasizing the importance of instilling military values in families within the civilian community.
General Secretary Vinita Singh acknowledged the significant role of women in society, while other participants shared their experiences and struggles. Suggestions were made for organizing skill development workshops and awareness seminars on women’s health, safety, and welfare. Mrs. Poonam of Saiya Matri Shakti Jharkhand recommended hosting informative sessions on these crucial issues.
The event aimed to foster unity among members, promote awareness of military traditions, and highlight the importance of Indian culture. The vote of thanks was delivered by Sangeeta Sharma, and over 40 members actively participated in the celebration.
