Jamshedpur: The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has initiated preparations for the evaluation of matriculation and intermediate board exam answer sheets, which will commence after Holi at eight designated centres in Jamshedpur. Four centres have been allocated for matriculation answer sheets and four for intermediate. More than 600 teachers will be engaged in the evaluation process, which is expected to be completed within 20 days. To ensure transparency and security, the entire evaluation process will be conducted under CCTV surveillance and strict guidelines have been put in place.
To maintain discipline, JAC has decided that teachers assigned for evaluation will be allowed only one entry per day. Once inside, they will not be permitted to leave until the day’s work is completed. Mobile phones will be strictly prohibited and teachers will undergo security checks before entering the centres. Additionally, lunch will be provided within the premises to ensure uninterrupted work. The JAC administration aims to release the board exam results by the last week of April or the first week of May. To meet this deadline, evaluation centres with a higher number of answer sheets will be expected to complete their work by the first week of April.
Teachers selected for evaluation duty will receive their appointment letters through their respective District Education Officer (DEO) offices after March 10. They will need to collect their letters before reporting to the evaluation centres. Meanwhile, the JAC intermediate examinations concluded on Tuesday with the final subjects being English (core language) and music. Out of 8,804 registered students, 77 were absent. In the matriculation exams, the local language subject was conducted, with 185 students appearing. The exams were completed peacefully at all centres.
