RVS College Jamshedpur student develops innovative app, gains recognition

Jamshedpur: Fahad Mahmud, a fourth-semester Master of Computer Applications (MCA) student at RVS College of Engineering and Technology, Jamshedpur, has developed a mobile application aimed at simplifying daily household tasks. His app, DGMajdoor (Digital Partner), received widespread appreciation in a multi-level idea-presentation competition organized by Jharkhand University of Technology (JUT), Ranchi under the mission of Developed India and Developed Jharkhand.

Out of 30 teams selected in the competition, Fahad’s app stood out due to its innovative approach. DGMajdoor is a subscription-based mobile application that connects service providers with users, offering a transparent and efficient platform for household services. The app ensures predictable income for workers and cost-effective solutions for consumers. It also includes a feature allowing subscribers to raise complaints and receive immediate assistance when needed.

Fahad developed this application under the mentorship of Prof. Yogendra and Prof. Prabhat Purushottam. Recognizing the potential of the project, the SRNJ has provided a grant of ₹30,000 to further its development. Dr. Rajesh Kumar Tiwari, Principal of RVS College, lauded the initiative and assured all possible support to help expand this startup.

Dr. Tiwari also commended Jharkhand University of Technology for fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among students, emphasizing that such initiatives will significantly strengthen the startup ecosystem in Jharkhand.
