Administration urged to ensure security

Jamshedpur: The Jamshedpur Central Ram Navami Akhara Committee, led by President Arun Singh and Lalan Singh, met with DC Ananya Mittal and Senior Superintendent of Police Kaushal Kishore to discuss the preparations for upcoming Hindu festivals, including Hindu New Year Yatra, Basanti Durga Puja, Chaiti Chhath and Ram Navami Mahotsav.
During the meeting, the committee members highlighted the challenges faced during these events and urged the district administration to ensure smooth arrangements. Arun Singh informed the authorities that the Hindu New Year Yatra will take place on March 28, Chaiti Chhath on April 3-4 and Basanti Durga Puja along with Ram Navami Shobha Yatra cum immersion on April 7. The committee assured full cooperation with the administration and expressed confidence that the authorities would extend their support to ensure peaceful celebrations.
Given that Jamshedpur is a highly sensitive district, the committee emphasized the need for heightened security in Mango Munshi Mohalla, Gandhi Maidan Mango, Golmuri, Jugsalai, Dhatkidih Bistupur and other sensitive areas to prevent any untoward incidents. This year, the city is expected to witness 175 Ram Navami Akharas, 12 Basanti Durga Pujas and five Hindu New Year processions. The committee requested the administration to repair all immersion ghats, clean the rivers, regulate traffic and ensure strict security arrangements for both the Hindu New Year Yatra and Ram Navami Shobha Yatra cum immersion.
Ajay Gupta, Metropolitan President of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, suggested that fruit carts along the roads of Jamshedpur be temporarily relocated to ensure smoother traffic flow during the Ram Navami celebrations.
The delegation comprised Jamshedpur Central Ram Navami Akhara Committee President Arun Singh, Vijay Tiwari, Diljay Bose, Dharmendra Kumar, Prakash Dubey, Ajay Gupta, Uttam Das, Lalan Yadav, Chandrika, Pradeep Lal, Kanhaiya Yadav, Babu Veer Kunwar Singh Akhara, Shri Shri Anand Brahmsthan Akhara Govindpur Dheeraj Singh, Ranvijay Mandal from Jambu Akhara and Dheeraj Singh Kadma from Sankat Mochan Hanuman Akhara Govindnagar.
