RPF constable felicitated  for saving passenger’s life in Jharsuguda

Kolkata, April 27: Archana Joshi, General Manager, South Eastern Railway felicitated Bina Harijan, Constable, Railway Protection Force, Jharsuguda for saving a passenger’s life, at SER Headquarters, Garden Reach on Wednesday, April 27.

Harijan was felicitated in appreciation of her remarkable performance and alertness. DB Kasar, IG-cum-Principal Chief Security Commissioner, South Eastern Railway was also present at the felicitation ceremony.

It is worth mentioning that on April 23, 2022, at around 05.52 hrs train 12130 Howrah-Pune Azad Hind Express was leaving Jharsuguda Station when a passenger while trying to board the running train lost his balance and was being dragged on the platform. Noticing this, on duty RPF Constable Bina Harijan immediately rushed to the spot and succeeded in pushing the passenger inside the coach and saved his life.
