Jamshedpur, July 10: Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West, in collaboration with Srimad Rajchandra Hospital & Research Centre, has been conducting a large-scale anemia awareness and treatment campaign targeting industrial workers and schoolchildren around Jamshedpur.
Launched on July 1, the initiative has so far screened nearly 2,000 individuals, offering free three-month treatment and medication to those diagnosed with anemia. The fifth health camp under this drive was held today at Precision Cups Pvt. Ltd., Ghamaria, where 102 workers were tested and 30 were found anemic. Identified individuals will now receive follow-up care and medication.
The campaign is led by Rtn. Dr. Vidya Tiwari, Rt. Sp. Varsha Gandhi, Rtn. Naman Agarwal (Secretary), Rt. Sp. K. P. Tiwari, and Rtn. Harshad Gandhi, among others.
Ashok Jha announced the club’s upcoming launch of a Mobile Cancer Detection Facility for rural and tribal communities, furthering Rotary’s health mission.
